TRAVEL ESSENTIALS – SAN FRANCISCO

D is currently travelling to San Francisco for work. Having never been to the West Coast before, we put together a little beauty and nail travel kit on the weekend! Caboodles has recently introduced a new line of makeup carriers that are absolutely perfect for travel – whether you’re bringing polish to a girlfriends house or flying to the other side of the country. We immediately fell in love with the Undercover. The highlight for us was the two level compartments. We use small items and essentials on the top, our brush collection on the insert in the middle and filled the bottom with some bigger goodies. The case is extremely functional – it includes a large vanity mirror and an open-tray for brushes and small items, like nail art gems! The Undercover case is available at Kmart, Ulta and Amazon.com for $32.00. An amazing price for a carry on you’ll use for years. See here.

Bon Voyage

1. Hope in a Jar: this moisturizer is light-weight and perfect for travel to keep our skin hydrated. It contains antioxidants & lactic acid to help with skin’s natural exfoliation. This cream is pretty accurately named – lol! Hope in a Jar comes in 4 different sizes, if you’re heavy handed like us opt for the .8oz jar.  See here.

2. Butter London – Crumpet: One of our favourite nudes, makes for the perfect mannequin hands. Swatches to come next week 🙂 See here.

3. Sally Hansen – Blue Away: This polish is the perfect punch of colour, not too bright and perfect for warmer weather. See here.

4. Revlon Color Stay Top Coat: We’ve been trying new top coats & this is our current favourite. The formula is so thin, we use hardly any to do all ten nails. This is perfect for us since we change our nail colour so often. See here.

5. Hello Kitty Tokyo Pop Nail Files: Sephora has the cutest Hello Kitty collection, we couldn’t resist this fun coloured nail files. See here.

6. Revlon File N’ Peel File: WHY haven’t we talked about this sooner? We have no good answer. This amazing nail file has layers. One side is a light git and the other is heaver, good for all kinds of nails. Once the file isn’t working so great anymore, simply peel off the top layer & ta-da, a new one is underneath! This nail file is basically like 6 nail files. We HIGHLY recommend for anyone that keeps a nail file on them at all times. See here.

7. Make Lipgloss: A nice pop of colour, Make lipgloss is high shine and not too strong of a colour. This pink shade is close to our natural lip colour, just adding at little extra touch of colour and shine.

8. No Bleeding Lips: We are huge lipstick fans, the brighter the better. The biggest pet peeve is the bleeding/smearing once you have a perfect outline on you lips. Outline your lips with this product & lipstick is in place all night.  See here.

9. Butter London Lippy Jaffa: We are usually pink/red girls but we’ve been venturing into the corals and oranges and love the change for this season. Jaffa is a crisp coral, great with a rosy cheek. See here.

10. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Lovesick: Smooth & creamy, just like butter. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balms are an amazing substitute for lip balm and add some colour to your lips. See here.

11. Chanel Remover: We received this as a gift & it’s perfect for travel. A little on the expensive side, but this remover works like a dream. See here.

12. See by Chloe: Our new favourite scent for the summer months, this perfume has a warm floral scent that lasts all day. See here.

13. Essie – Saturday Disco Fever: The new Essie neon collection is packed with bright fun shades for the summer. This orange had us smitten. A rich neon, not too light orange is great for usual red wearers. See here.

14. Essie – First Base: We reviewed the Essie Nail Treatment line not too long ago & we’ve been loyal to First Base every since. When you change your polish as much as us it’s hard to avoid nail stains, but this seems to help! See here.

15. Born Pretty Brushes: Every so often we clean up our brush collection, getting rid of overused brushes and replacing them with fresh ones. Such a great feeling! See here.San Fran3San Fran 4San Fran 5
