SWATCH REVIEW: ESSIE RESORT 2013

In anticipation was KILLING us! We received this collection back in January and we couldn’t show it till March. So naturally, we waited till exactly March 1 to share with you guys! In the past Essie resort collections are a collection of 4 must-have vacation shades. We are happy to report that this year they continued the trend! Weingarten said, “I wanted to re-imagine sexy colour in way that is as unexpected as the modern woman herself.” This collection is all about eye-catching bold colours. Not a traditional femme fatale but a playful confidence.

Come Here! – Our absolute favourite of the collection! The nearly neon coral polish is so electric and caught our eye right away. This will be our go-to pedicure polish for all vacations, hands down. This coral is the perfect mix of orange and red with a bright neon punch. We used 2 coats of the pictures before.CH1 CH2

First Timer – We love a good green. This polish shade is fresh, hoppy & so fun. Green polishes are perfect when you’re looking for something different than the usual suspects. We used 2 coats for the pictures below to achieve a smooth application. FT1FT2

In The Cab-ana – We have a feeling this is going to be the most popular shade of the collection! The medium aqua polish is perfect for the sand and sun. Just the right about of bright without being intimidating. The polish applied evenly with no visible nail line in 2 coats.ITC1ITC2

Under Where? – this purple orchid polish reminds us of Splash of Gernadine by Essie one of our all time favourites, so we were naturally attracted to it. This shade had a little more lavender in it in comparison. We used 3 coats for the pictures below. The polish was a little thiner than the others, so we needed the extra coat for full coverage.UW1UW2

What do you guys think of the Essie Resort Collection 2013? We are in l-o-v-e! All 4 shades look great on their own and would look amazing together in a nail art design. Tweet us your thoughts @PolishYouPretty @Essie @EssieCanada!

The Essie Resort Collection 2013 is available in April at Shopper’s Drug Mart, Walmart & other Essie retailers for $12.00 CAD.

Love this collection- is “come here” similar to Fifth Ave??

  4. Love this collection, I kept thinking “that one is my favourite” but then I’d think it about the next one, too!

This makes me wish I bought Essie!

  5. Lauren Doherty says:

They have them at Transdesign for $5.95 each. Needless to say, I will be picking up the whole collection 😉

  6. Caitlyn says:

Oh I love this collection! I’ve ordered all but the red one so far, I’m just not sure if a neon-coral-red on my nails is the right thing for me. But the blue is absolutely stunning, closely followed by the green .. and the light orchid-purple is just lovely. I’m all into lilacs and soft purples for spring, I can’t get enough of them, even if they look alike …

  7. I wanted to thank you for this great read!!

  8. Katharine Gibson says:
