O ROMEO ROMEO…

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Do you feel all the love in the air? Although Valentines Day isn’t our favourite holiday, we love everything that goes along with it – flowers, chocolate, and anything that let’s us pamper ourselves for the day. Also, who doesn’t love a classic love story? You don’t have to admit it, but we know you do.

We’ve both always both been obsessed with the ballet – from the beautiful sounds of the orchestra, to the breathtaking choreography and the show-stopping costumes – we love it all! No as we’re sure you’re aware, we are both from Toronto, Ontario. What does this mean? Well, we have all the wonderful productions of The National Ballet of Canada at our fingertips and we could not be happier. At the moment the city is plastered with promotions for their upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet (!!), just in time for valentines day. We’d like to thank these posters for inspiring today’s post.

We both started our nail polish obsession by owning a billion soft pink shades and thinking that we were totally crazy for putting a slightly darker shade of pink on our nails. Seriously, we think we’ve been through at least 5 bottles of OPI Coney Island Cotton Candy in our lifetime. We are still obsessed with all these romantic shades, however now there are so many shades to choose from (not complaining). Our soft pink obsession doesn’t end at nail polish, but overflows to our beauty products and fashion choices.

Will you be showing your tips some love today? What shade will you be wearing? Maybe a classic red, or one of these soft romantic shades below. Let us know!

  1. #4 is beautiful; do they still sell it or is it a retired color?

I’m afraid I was very anti-Valentine colors today; I wore lavender and blue. My sister made up for it though with her bright pink leotard (she’s a ballet dancer!) and skirt covered in hearts.

  2. Thanks for the great article.
