NAIL ART TUTORIAL: GO BANANAS

We wanted to challenge ourselves for the tutorial today. Inspired by the famous Velvet Underground banana cover and Andy Warhol we created a b-a-n-a-n-a-s nail art design in just 3 easy steps! Ps. is it just us or is that song still so great?IMG_0252

Step 1: After applying a base coat, paint nails 2 coats of Essie – Turquoise & Caicos. This polish will always be a staple in our collection. The aqua shade is always just the perfect aqua we’re looking for.IMG_0246

Step 2: Using Nicole by OPI – Hit the Lights begin painting your bananas. Create half-moon shapes scattered across your nails in no particular pattern.IMG_0250

Step 3: Add the final touches with OPI – Black Onyx to the bananas to create the famous Andy Warhol-ish banana look. Don’t forget to seal in your design with a top coat – we recommend Seche Vite!IMG_0256

What do you think of today’s tutorial – would you try this design at home? Tweet us your thoughts!
