We need a pick me up after the long weekend, it’s always so hard after a little time off to get back into the swing of things – what better way then with bright and cheerful nails! We decided to incorporate one of our favourite colour combinations – pink + yellow, aka. pink lemonade awesomeness. Plus a little tribal/dot action as well.

Step 1: After applying a base coat (we use CND – Toughen Up) paint nails 2-3 coats of Finger Paints – Lemon Sour. We reviewed the Finger Paints Gumdrops & Lollipops collection a little while back & fell in love with this shade. Although the formula was a little tricky, the final colour reminds us of a soft pale daisy, or lemon sorbet.

Step 2: Once your yellow has dried, paint the left side of the nail using your pink shade, we used Zoya – Shelby. Shelby is a great Barbie pink (see more of the Beachh & Surf collection here) & a great ‘go-to’ shade in our collection.

Step 3: Using a black nail striper paint a line between to the two shades to divide them. With both colours now sectioned off, paint 6-7 diagonal lines over Lemon Sour on each nail.

Step 4: Grab your dotting tool & China Glaze – Liquid Leather to fill in the left pink side of the nail with scattered polka dots. Seal in your design with a great top coat (we use Seche Vite) & you’re all set!

This design combines so many things that we love all in one look – a great colour combination, polka dots & a tribal feel. This design is fairly easy – you can even just do one side or the either, if both together is too busy for you. Let us know what you think of today’s look on Twitter or Facebook! Hope everyone is enjoying their week!
