NAIL ART TUTORIAL: FRANKEN-STITCHES

Still in the Halloween spirit, we thought we would try a less traditional nail art idea – stitches. We added some green into the mix & after a couple viewings of The Nightmare Before Christmas we came up with a Frankenstein/Sally inspired nails.

Step 1: Paint halves of nails with Essie – Mint Green Apple. Change it up each nail – vertical, diagonal, horizontal. Use Misa – Dirty Sexy Money to fill in the other half of nail.

Step 2: Using Kiss Nail Art paint in black (& a steady hand!) draw lines between two colours. This also hides any imperfections if the colours did not match up.

Step 3: Paint horizontal lines over the division on nail – different lengths help perfect this look to create a hand sown stitch look. You can experiment with different colour bases & stitch colours & create your own Franken-stitches!

  1. I like these very much! I’ll have to keep these in mind for the next time I have a “bride” in tow.

  2. I so want to try this!
